My approach to teaching is rooted in fostering efficacy and cultivating critical thinking skills, underpinned by a strong commitment to promoting equity, inclusion, and accessibility in biology. Experiential Learning

Hands-on learning, also known as experiential learning, immerses students in transformative educational experiences, encouraging a deeper understanding of concepts through direct engagement and application.


The understanding of ecological concepts is vital to preserving biodiversity. This encompasses our understanding of both foundational principles and advanced concepts, providing comprehensive knowledge for effectively conserving biodiversity.


Acknowledging the profound impact of mentorship, there is a commitment to empowering students with a strong biological foundation and refining their critical thinking abilities to mold them into independent thinkers.

Biological Data

Analyzing biological data requires a foundation in statistics, which is a crucial framework for interpreting complex datasets. Informed decisions about experimental design, hypothesis testing, and result interpretation are important for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of biological analyses.


Cultivating an impactful educational environment involves ensuring diverse representation, affording equal opportunities, embracing inclusive practices, and providing accessible resources.

Field Biology

Emphasizing the study of organisms in their natural environment, field biology provides insight into the behavior of free-ranging organisms, contributing to an understanding of behavior, population dynamics, and ecosystem processes.
